The Story

Before the circus came to town, Signor Vertelli did. A thrilling daredevil; a terrifying feat of courage or … absurd theatre?!

With no company, no support acts (except a wheelbarrow) in 1866 Signor Vertelli traversed Dangars Falls in Armidale NSW, on a tightrope. He made the crossing once, and then a second time with a wheel barrow, then crossed again - this time doing somersaults(!).

As tribute to circus performers past and present, we invite you to eat, drink and perform acts of wonder, always.
